What Paciva is (and isn’t)
Paciva is built for people whose energy or capacity doesn’t reliably refill. It’s a calm tool for noticing limits — not a system for pushing through them.
Paciva doesn’t measure your energy. It uses a personal reference scale and a simple envelope model to make invisible strain more visible.
The envelope model
Think of a day as a container. Some days hold less. Some days hold more. The goal is not to “use it up”. The goal is to stay within what your day can hold — gently.
Dual-scale: state + number
Paciva shows a state (primary) and a number (secondary). The state is meant to be intuitive. The number is a quiet reference — not a unit.
Designed for real days
Paciva is built to reduce cognitive load: quick logging, “Today was quiet”, and gentle guidance you can turn off. It’s intentionally not a productivity app.
The truth contract
This is the boundary Paciva promises to stay within. It protects trust — and protects users.
Paciva claims
- Capacity is limited and context-dependent.
- Change over time matters more than exact values.
- Rest and quiet days are valid outcomes.
Paciva does not claim
- To measure real energy.
- To predict crashes or recovery.
- To optimize performance or productivity.
Paciva will never
- Reward pushing or endurance.
- Punish rest or quiet days.
- Compare users or create rankings.
Optional contexts
Paciva can behave differently depending on what affects your day. Contexts adjust language and assumptions. They are optional and can be changed anytime.
ME/CFS pacing context
A more protective interpretation with careful language around delayed effects and recovery. Paciva stays conservative and never assumes “feeling better” means “safe”.
Neurodivergent capacity context
A context that can include sensory load and daily support check-ins. The goal is to reduce overload and decision fatigue — without turning your day into a performance score.
The core idea stays the same: a calm envelope model, on a personal reference scale.
Privacy & trust
Built for people who don’t have extra energy for complicated systems.
Offline-first
Paciva is designed to work without accounts. Your data stays on your device.
Backups are yours
You can export and restore a backup file. Paciva does not upload your data.
No medical claims
Paciva supports pacing and self-understanding. It doesn’t diagnose, treat, or measure medical outcomes.
You can share a gentle day/week overview if you want — nothing is shared automatically.
About
A small note from the person building Paciva.
Hi, I’m Fabio.
I’m a Swiss media maker and developer. I’m neurodivergent, and I build gentle systems that reduce overwhelm.
Why I’m building this
Someone close to me was diagnosed with ME/CFS. Watching how invisible limited energy can be made me want a calmer tool — not to “fix”, but to notice limits before they hurt.
